For me art is a means of expression. People can communicate their feelings through songs, drawings, photography, sketches, tunes, you name it. And I sincerely believe that there is art in everything.
But for me visual arts like drawings and sketches embody not only the feeling that the artist is trying to portray, but the hardship that it took the artist to create its piece.
For example, for a portrait the artist needs to analyze the person's emotion and then translate it to the canvas. So it's not just creating a meaningful artwork, but taking in the feelings of its surroundings.
And I just happen to love taking in my surroundings. I appreciate the little things so much that it's hard not to overly enjoy the rays of sunlight piercing through my skin as I try to get a tan or feel the wind brush my face when I go out to the garden in the morning.
All these feelings can be captivated by photography which is amazing, and I love photography pretty much as I love art. But, to translate what you feel onto a canvas is a tougher thing to do.
Art for me is something combining emotion, translation and expression. Art is basically a language so poised and so honest that there is not a single piece that will make you feel the same way as another.
